It's an instrument to play, a craft to hone, a skill to practise.
My wise friend and super talented (and well practised) illustrator Izzy Way once said this to me about my own drawing frustrations.
I work with illustrators and animators as much as I can.
It's the most beautiful way to add humanity, wit and character to a brand.
So much of my work is with innovators, consultants and organisations with invisible outcomes. For them and so many others, illustration is a powerful and accessible way to package up a concept, a thought style, a brighter future that doesn't exist yet.
How do you show sustainability? Stock shots of wind turbines?
Organisational innovation? People with post-its?
Empathy, resilience, intrapreneurship?β¦
I haven't poured in the thousands of hours to master this instrument, so I work with those who have, in constant admiration (jealously). The wondrous Tom Jennings, Izzy Way and Jernej GraΔner and many more.
And am super grateful to my clients who believe in its powers too.

Now, back to the drawing board!
